History

Mr. Rudolph Orlob founded the Mountain States Rubber Company in 1916. The original business was located at 346 State Street and for many years the Company was located on Motor Avenue, now named Social Hall Avenue. As the business grew and prospered, he added new product lines. In 1926, to better identify with Utah’s growing industry, Mr. Orlob formed his second company, Industrial Supply Company. Finally, in 1941 after securing lines associated with the fastener and metals industry, a third company was founded, Metals Supply Company. The Company moved to the present address on March 2, 1964 and is still locally owned and operated.
